I got together on March 2, 2007. All my life I had been dreaming of a beautiful love story with a wonderful happy end… or a beginning of a new life. I met Alan in the internet in March 2005. Since the first day he wrote me lovely and heartwarming letters about our future family and children – he wanted three children. I was head and ears in love and was envisioning a wonderful life with this man. Even his age – 58 – did not stop me, as love conquers all ages.
We wrote each other every other day, and in seven months he came to Odessa, Ukraine with Anastasia tour. I demanded that he not go to a social, but spend all time with me alone. He agreed happily. The meeting was unforgettable. It was October, the season of golden autumn. We took long walks around Odessa, enjoying the warm weather and each other. After we returned to our homes, he promised to start processing the fiancée visa.
We went on corresponding four times a week, and my loved one called me two or three times a day. I woke up with his voice… and fell asleep with his voice, too. All looked very nice, but the only thing which saddened me was that the process of getting the fiancée visa was progressing very slowly. Alan complained that he could not find a good lawyer in his city and wanted to hire a lawyer in another state. I insisted that he found a lawyer in his native city Tyod and he did so. The process of getting the fiancée visa was long and exhausting, and it was only our love which supported me and helped me keep going.
We met again in Kiev a year and a month after our first meeting. He had been sending me touching and soulful letters and calling me all that time. I believed that I had found my soul mate and the life full of happiness was ahead of me! By that time – November 2006 – I had received an invitation from the Embassy. And we flew to our meeting on the wings on love and luck. to carry out a photo session for Irina that took place on the reason that an admirer presented her flowers and champagne. Soon this admirer a guy Pierre from Switzerland got a shape of a real person – I was lucky to tremble with excitement in unison with Irina standing in the airport in Kishinev. We were crumpling touching red small ball which were prepared on purpose while peering into variegated crowd.

Our meeting at Borispol airport on November 10, 2006 was wonderful. We were enamored of each other even more and enjoyed the time together… On November 13 we underwent examination in Kiev clinic. All went perfectly well. On November 15 we went to the Embassy for the interview.
All my documents were in order, and I handed them in very fast. I was sure everything was done right, because I had filled in the forms with my personal lawyer. In half an hour I was invited for an interview. I was interrogated in a separate room, but all I said was heard in the corridor where my loved one sat. I was so inspired and excited that I talked in English only, despite all my fear of the foreign languages – it was incredible! Everyone in the corridor understood me well and was delighted with my English. But I was shocked to learn that my loved one had divorced only in summer 2006, and not two years ago, as he told me. Alan cursed himself for not being frank with me. But everything turned out all right, and I finally got the visa.
We parted enlightened with the prospect of happy future together and I started packing things. I was very afraid of flying so long by air. But I went through this test too. My loved one met me with eyes full of love! First I arrived in New York, then in Nashville. Then we went to Sevirville, where we live now. All was so beautiful and wonderful!
We celebrated Christmas together, and I wanted be together my loved one at once, to be able to work and help my husband, and not be a burden for him. All Russian women whom I knew and their American husbands talked to him about the importance of not losing time, because otherwise we would then have to wait for a green card for me. Alan did not hurry though, as he wanted to arrange for a wonderful wedding. He cared for me all the time, he even cooked for me and I could go shopping as long as I could. I was glad, but I felt bored and lonely at home waiting for my loved one from work. On February 14 he bought me another wedding ring.
In two weeks we got together and celebrated our wedding in a luxurious restaurant.
As we did not have a wedding as it is, my loved one promises me a beautiful wedding ceremony at the seaside.
The next day after our wedding we went to receive a social number for me. My husband does not mind me working and he wants me to drive a car. As we lost time delaying our wedding, I will have to wait for a green card for six or eight months. I am looking forward to finally receiving it, because I want to get a driving license and find a job, to help my husband.
Of course, I miss my family and friends very much, but I am optimistic about my future, as I am with my loved one!
Sincerely,
Marina
