Olga and Mark

I would like to start telling this story from the end. On the 17 of February 2009 Mark and Olga Ritchey celebrated the first wedding anniversary. Now they are living happily in a small town Tyler, Texas together with Olga’s daughter and only regret that they had not met each other earlier.

Mark wrote the first letter to Olga in March 2006 and after 9 months of correspondence he came for the first visit. It was New Year’s Eve of 2007 and it was the celebration of their first holiday together. They spent two weeks and immediately understood that they wanted to celebrate all the holidays together the rest of their lives.

In March 2007 Mark started to work on the Fiancee Visa for Olga. His second visit to Olga’s family in July only confirmed that they both did the right choice to be together. Their faces shined with happiness each time they came to the agency for a visit. It is true that love changes people – you can see it at once in one’s yes and smiles. It took them 5 more months till the visa was issued. It was shortly before the New Year’s Eve 2008. I still remember Olga’s face when she came to us for the last time to thank for everything.

She was happy and worried at the same time, as even knowing Mark very well she was still afraid of what may wait for her there… at the other side of the Earth. Would Mark be the same loving and caring after she left everything: her home, family and friends and moved to a new place?

Honestly it worried me too and I got a great relief when in two months Olga called and told how happy she was living with such an amazingly loving partner. Only after a week spent together she understood how much she was in love with him. I could not stop from crying... They said that tears could come from happiness and it was the case.
