Patrick and Anastasia

Patrick was the first to notice Anastasia on the Anastasia agency web site. His letter left behind all the other letters that Nastya got. Nastya treated her first admirer with great joy and respect. She took no notice of the rest of the mail.

Nastya and Patrick corresponded for two months, and felt a great desire to meet each other. They decided to meet up in Italy, which was their mutual long-term dream. Fall saw them meeting in Rome like old friends. In the airport they recognized each other at once, as if they had known each other before.

They went sightseeing together, dropped in tiny bars, and when their time was up, it felt terribly sad and vexing, because they found it strange being apart again. They hadnt noticed how they got so attached, two very different people, not knowing the native languages of each other and communicating in English. They turned out to be very close, maybe the closest ever.

In the airport, when parting appeared inevitable, and it became clear that there would be no more of this dear small talk, and that every one of them had to live alone again, Patrick bought two cell phones in order not to part for a single second with his girlfriend.

Even when the planes took off, they were on the phone. Nastya landed in St. Petersburg, Patrick in Geneva, and they couldnt stop talking. Their conversation ended when they ran out of money on their accounts.

Nastya settled back home, returned to work and daily life. It appeared that she hadnt changed, apart from the fact that she began to smile more, became softer and more cheerful. When you looked at her, you might have thought she had some secret.

The secret was soon revealed as her phone rang and Nastya began talking in English. Yes, it was Patrick calling. Christmas holidays came, and Nastya was waiting for a miracle. And the miracle came. On a snowy Christmas evening, jubilant Patrick was at her door with a huge bouquet of purple roses. He was long awaited-for. In a year, on a similar joyous Christmas evening, Nastya crossed the threshold of Patricks house as a beloved bride.
